  • If you see that a linebacker is lined up on your slot receiver 'hot route' the slot receiver into a streak so that he can out run the linebacker. To do this press TRIANGLE + Slot Receiver's passing icon (R1/L1 usually) then up on the D-Pad or analog stick

  • On 2-point conversions if you are passing get rid of the ball quickly, because the defense will be rushing a lot more players than usual.
  • Tap the SQUARE button when you want your QB to slide instead of dive when he is scrambling. It will decrease the chances of both fumbles and injuries.
  • When running the ball be patient, don't always hold down the Sprint button, wait for your blockers to open up holes.
  • On offense, if you see a blitz coming from the defense, be sure to 'hot route' your HB or FB to stay in and block for you. You do this by hitting TRIANGLE + HB/FB passing icon (R1/L1 usually) + R2 to block right or L2 to block left
  • Passing - be sure to take advantage of these passing tactics: R2 + D-pad pump fakes, which will make the Safeties bite therefore getting them out of position. L2 is Route-Based Passing. This allows the user to throw a pass based on the route they are runnning, not their momentum. Outs and Ins are the best kind of routes for Route-Based passing.
